Exclusions to Private Medical Health Insurance
Private Medical Insurance exclusions is a favorite question which people email us with, so here is a post which simply lists the exclusions.
* Cosmetic Surgery
* Laser Hair Removal
* Breast Enlargement
* Laser Eye Surgery
* Weight Loss Surgery
* Acne Treatment
* Pre-existing medical conditions are a not included. In most of the registration forms for private health insurance, they will ask you to list all the pre-existing medical conditions and sometimes they will ask your GP as well.
* Mental Illness like depression and other mental illnesses are excluded, as well as drug and alcohol abuse treatment is excluded.
* Critical Illness like cancer, long term illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure are all excluded.
* Fertility Treatment is excluded as the treatment is prolonged and expensive. Some prefer to go to developing countries and have the treatment done at a low price.
